Tianjin Yuguang New Material Co. Ltd. was established in 2001 with a registered capital of Rmb10 million ($1.21 million at Rmb8.27:$1). Its 20,000-square-meter factory is located in Xiqing Caozhuangzi Industrial Park.
Yuguang is engaged in the manufacture of NdFeB magnets, using its U.S.- patented production technology. The patent was issued by the U.S Patent and Trademark office in July 2001, under Patent No. 6,261,515 B, entitled "Method for Producing Rare Earth Magnet having High Magnetic Properties". It has an R&D center and two subsidiary companies: Tianjin Gangtian Material Co. and Lushen Electric Vehicle Co. Ltd. The latter is a manufacturer of mini- and maxi-scooters and electric bicycles.
